Alexander von Humboldt Medal

The Alexander von Humboldt Medal ( English ) is a prize in geosciences from the European Geosciences Union (EGU). It is named after Alexander von Humboldt (1769-1859). It is awarded to scientists from developing countries with a focus on Latin America and Africa for outstanding achievements in geosciences, planetology or space sciences.
