Alexander of Lueneburg

Alexander von Lüneburg (* December 1643 in Lübeck ; † June 19, 1715 ibid) was councilor of the Hanseatic city of Lübeck.

Life

Alexander von Lüneburg came from the old Lübeck council family Lüneburg . The councilor Alexander Lüneburg († 1625) was one of his grandfathers. Lüneburg studied law at the Universities of Giessen and Strasbourg. He then toured England and France. In Lübeck he became a member of the patrician circle society in 1669 . In 1679 he was briefly canon in Lübeck ; but resigned in the same year. In 1703 he was elected to the Lübeck Council.

He was married to a daughter of the mayor of Lübeck, Anton Köhler . Alexander von Lüneburg was the owner of the Lübsche Gut Eckhorst and a farm in Krempelsdorf, the Lübsche Gut Mori was brought into the marriage by his wife . The mayor of Lübeck Anton von Lüneburg was his son.
