Pfaffenhofen is a district of the town of Burgbernheim in the district of Neustadt an der Aisch-Bad Windsheim , Middle Franconia in Bavaria .

Further communal roads cross the state road 2252 to Ergersheim (1.6 km northeast), past the Simonsmühle to Kellermühle to the federal road 13 (1 km northwest) and directly to the B 13 (0.2 km northwest or 0.5 km southeast) .
history
The place was first mentioned in a document in the 13th century. The old Franconian settlements in the area suggest, however, that people settled there as early as the 7th century. The place name is derived from Paffenhof, an estate owned by a priest . Only later did more farms settle in.
The Heilsbronn monastery bought fields there from Seyfried von Gößheim.
In 1801 Pfaffenhofen belonged to the Ansbach-Bayreuthischen Uffenheimer Kreis . Part of the tithe belonged to Count Castell zu Rüdenhausen .
In 1806 Pfaffenhofen came to the new Kingdom of Bavaria . As part of the municipal edict , it was assigned to the Buchheim tax district in 1808 . In 1813 the rural community Buchheim was formed, to which Pfaffenhofen belonged. With the second community edict (1818), Pfaffenhofen split up with the village (= brick mill ?), Middle and Simons mill and formed its own rural community. The administration and jurisdiction of the rural community of Pfaffenhofen was subordinate to the Uffenheim Regional Court and the Uffenheim Rent Office ( renamed Uffenheim Tax Office in 1920 ) for the financial administration . From 1862 Pfaffenhofen was administered by the Uffenheim district office (renamed the Uffenheim district in 1938 ). The jurisdiction remained until 1879 the District Court Uffenheim, 1880 at the District Court Uffenheim . The municipality had an area of 2.708 km².
On July 1, 1972, Pfaffenhofen was incorporated into Buchheim as part of the regional reform , which was finally incorporated into Burgbernheim on May 1, 1978.
