Hochbach is a district of the town of Burgbernheim in the district of Neustadt an der Aisch-Bad Windsheim in Middle Franconia in Bavaria .
geography
Approx. 1 km east of the hamlet is the Hirschbuck ( 357 m above sea level ), with the Löhlein forest behind it . Approx. The Hochbach vineyard is 0.5 km south . Immediately to the east rises the Hirschgraben, which is a left tributary of the Ens . A community road leads to Bergtshofen (1.2 km northwest) or Burgbernheim to the district road NEA 43 (3 km southeast).
history
Hochbach was first mentioned in a document in 993. It is about a foundation by Bishop Bernhard von Würzburg.
Towards the end of the 18th century, Hochbach belonged to the municipality of Burgbernheim. In Hochbach there were 5 properties (4 courtyards, 1 estate). The high court and the lordship over all properties exercised the Brandenburg-Bayreuthische Schultheißenamt Burgbernheim .
As part of the community edict, Hochbach was assigned to the Burgbernheim tax district formed in 1811 . It also belonged to the municipal community of Burgbernheim , which was formed in 1813 .
Former architectural monuments
- House No. 2: Stately, single-storey residential stable in plastered half-timbered houses. In the gable there is a house board, which shows that Georg Leonhardt Seufferlein, Bürger and Sailer built the house there in 1816. Master mason was Johann Georg Weinberger .
- House number 3: guest house. Ground floor solid building from the first half of the 19th century, with gable framework and mansard roof.
