Pfaffenhofen is a district of the town of Burgbernheim in the district of Neustadt an der Aisch-Bad Windsheim , Middle Franconia in Bavaria .

Geographical location

The church village is on the edge of the Frankenhöhe . The Ziegelwasengraben, the Seewasengraben and the Rannach meet in the village . The Pfaffenhofer Berg ( 372  m above sea level ) rises to the north-west . A community connecting road leads to a community connecting road (1.6 km southwest) between Bergtshofen (0.6 km south) and Ermetzhofen (1.5 km northwest). Further communal roads cross the state road 2252 to Ergersheim (1.6 km northeast), past the Simonsmühle to Kellermühle to the federal road 13 (1 km northwest) and directly to the B 13 (0.2 km northwest or 0.5 km southeast) .

history

The place was first mentioned in a document in the 13th century. The old Franconian settlements in the area suggest, however, that people settled there as early as the 7th century. The place name is derived from Paffenhof, an estate owned by a priest . Only later did more farms settle in.

The Heilsbronn monastery bought fields there from Seyfried von Gößheim.

In 1801 Pfaffenhofen belonged to the Ansbach-Bayreuthischen Uffenheimer Kreis . Part of the tithe belonged to Count Castell zu Rüdenhausen .

In 1806 Pfaffenhofen came to the new Kingdom of Bavaria . As part of the municipal edict , it was assigned to the Buchheim tax district in 1808 . In 1813 the rural community Buchheim was formed, to which Pfaffenhofen belonged. With the second community edict (1818), Pfaffenhofen split up with the village (= brick mill ?), Middle and Simons mill and formed its own rural community. The administration and jurisdiction of the rural community of Pfaffenhofen was subordinate to the Uffenheim Regional Court and the Uffenheim Rent Office ( renamed Uffenheim Tax Office in 1920 ) for the financial administration . From 1862 Pfaffenhofen was administered by the Uffenheim district office (renamed the Uffenheim district in 1938 ). The jurisdiction remained until 1879 the District Court Uffenheim, 1880 at the District Court Uffenheim . The municipality had an area of ​​2.708 km².

On July 1, 1972, Pfaffenhofen was incorporated into Buchheim as part of the regional reform , which was finally incorporated into Burgbernheim on May 1, 1978.

  • The Evangelical Lutheran Church of St. Nicholas , which was renovated in 2002.
  • The Alexanderbrunnen from 1793. The inscription commemorates Margrave Alexander who took care of the needs of his subjects by building the well . When the community's sources dried up due to the drought in 1783, he financed a well for the community.   • The bridge over the Rannach, built in 1779/80 according to the plans of the margravial court architect Johann David Steingruber as part of the new road Ansbach - Ochsenfurt .
  • House No. 03: stately, two-storey farmhouse, the upper floor and the steep projecting gable in plastered half-timbered houses, probably from the 17th century.
