Alexandra Roehler (* 4. April 1975 as Alexandra Fischer in Regensburg ) is a German fashion designer . In 2004 she founded the Kaviar Gauche fashion label in Berlin together with Johanna Kühl .

Life

Roehler completed a publishing and editorial traineeship at “Guide Berlin”. There she was mainly responsible for music events, concerts and event reporting. She developed her own fashion column and then worked as a stylist for film and television projects as well as fashion and advertising shoots.

From 2000 to 2003 she studied fashion design at ESMOD Berlin ( École supérieure des arts et techniques de la mode ). She earned a Bachelor of Arts with distinction and won the “Prix de Stilisme Femme”. Her entire exam collection was selected for the " Moet & Chandon Fashion Debut".

Then she founded the fashion label "Kaviar Gauche" together with Johanna Kühl. Both had already met in 2001 while studying. They presented their first joint collection as a “guerrilla fashion show” during the prêt-à-porter shows in front of the “Colette” concept store in Paris on Rue Saint-Honoré.

By winning the “New Generation Award”, the duo achieved their national breakthrough in 2007 at the first Berlin Fashion Week .

In 2010 the magazine “Stern” chose Alexandra Roehler and Johanna Kühl with their fashion label “Kaviar Gauche” among the “10 most important German fashion designers”.

Alexandra Roehler has been married to director and writer Oskar Roehler since August 2000 .
