Alexei Tropnikow ( Russian Алексей Тропников ; born October 15, 1978 ) is a Russian cross-country skier .

Alexei Tropnikow made his international debut at the FIS race in Krasnoyarsk on December 30, 2001. The first points in an international race he got in 2002 as 30th in Murmansk at the 50 km run in free technique. Until 2008 he competed in numerous races, but without placing in the front field. In April 2008 he made it into the top ten for the first time when he came fourth in the FIS race in Apatity over 10 km. He won his first and so far only FIS race in November 2009 when he won a 15 km free style race in Syktyvkar , in which only Russian participants were at the start. In Rybinsk at the Eastern Europe Cup , he was ninth in a competition in classic technique over 30 km in the top.
