Alexei Wladimirowitsch Sokolow (marathon runner)
Alexei Wladimirowitsch Sokolow ( Russian Алексей Владимирович Соколов , English transcription Aleksey Sokolov ; born November 14, 1979 in Leningrad ) is a Russian marathon runner .
He has won the Russian championship three times (2003, 2005 and 2007). In 2006 and 2007 he set a course record at the Dublin Marathon with 2:11:39 h and 2:09:07 h respectively, with the latter breaking the 10-year old national record of his trainer Leonid Schwezow .
Sokolow is 1.74 m tall, weighs 60 kg and is a sports soldier .
