Alfred "Alf" Walter Duval (born July 1, 1941 in Sydney ) is a former Australian rower . He took part in the Summer Olympics in 1964 and 1968 . He was also a participant in the 1966 World Championships in Bled.

National career

Duval attended St. Joseph's College in Hunters Hill, where he also began rowing.

After school, he rowed at the Sydney Rowing Club . From 1962 to 1969 he was in the boat of the state of New South Wales for eight years . He competed with his team in the Interstate Regatta and won them in 1965 and 1967. At the Australian rowing championships in 1966 he won the title of four with helmsman with his crew John Ranch, Chris Stevens, Peter Dickson and helmsman Brian Thomas .

International career

After his career he became a coach. He helped found the rowing program at Varsity College in Gold Coast , Queensland .
