Alfons Quellacasa
Alfons Quellacasa (born March 3, 1843 in Buchenstein ; † April 11, 1913 in Neustift in the municipality of Vahrn near Brixen ) was a clergyman and professor of natural history at the kk grammar school in Brixen for 35 years.
Quellacasa, nicknamed “Gulli”, became a legend in Tyrol because of its catheter blossoms . Franz Junge documented his lessons in the repeatedly published Gulli book . In addition to the humor, the Gulli book also contains interesting folklore insights into everyday school life from the period between 1895 and 1903.
Samples:
- Study diligently and from the beginning and make a note of one thing: The smarter gives in, but I do not give in!
- Regarding the upper limbs or the uppermost, we have different expressions that you have to remember. There is none of this in the Buach, but I ask the staff to do so.
- As I have heard from experienced people, it is peculiar that you fall on your nose when you drink beer and on your bum when you drink wine, so the latter is also healthier from a medical point of view. But that's a legend.
