Alfons Schwarz (athlete)

Alfons Karl Schwarz (born July 14, 1954 in Dossenheim ) is a former German athlete who competed internationally for the Federal Republic of Germany.

Athletic career

Alfons Schwarz started his career at TSG Heidelberg, from 1971 to 1973 he started for USC Heidelberg , from 1974 he joined LAC Quelle Fürth . From 1974 to 1992 he was part of the selection of the Federal Republic of Germany in 47 international matches. With 47 international fights, Alfons Schwarz is after Gerhard Weidner the German walker with the most international fights. He was 20th in the 20km walk at the 1978 European Championships . In 1980, Black was in the squad for the Olympic Games in Moscow , in which all members already knew at the time of nomination that they would not be able to compete because of the Olympic boycott .

Schwarz won 28 German championship titles, 38 South German championship titles and 52 Bavarian championship titles.
