Alfonso Riestra

Alfonso Riestra is a retired Mexican soccer player in the position of goalkeeper .

Riestra emerged from the offspring of CF Asturias and was promoted to regular goalkeeper after the departure of the former national goalkeeper Isidoro Sota in the 1933/34 season, who also made the leap into the national team himself and played a total of five international matches for his home country: initially all three World Cup qualifiers against Cuba in 1934 (3: 2, 5: 0 and 4: 1) and two games in the Central American Championships against Cuba (6: 1) and Honduras (8: 2) in 1935.
