Alfred-Joachim Hermanni

Alfred-Joachim Hermanni (born November 5, 1958 ) is a German film and television producer, writer and professor of media management and media development. He played a key role in the introduction of the dual broadcasting system in Germany.

Life

Hermanni studied general political science and media management. After training as an officer with the PSV troops in Andernach / PSV transmitter battalion 1, where he was responsible for radio broadcasts abroad as an editor. In 1977 he moved to the DRK Presidium in Bonn as press spokesman . There he was also editor-in-chief of the DRK magazines “Zentralorgan” and “Die gute Tat” and realized media campaigns to support those in need in Africa, Asia and the Middle East.

Following this, he headed the media policy department of the CDU federal office (federal party) in Bonn from 1982, he was managing director of the CDU / CSU media commissions at federal level and helped develop media policy, in connection with which the dual broadcasting system in Germany was implemented in 1984 CDU / CSU was introduced. Subsequently, in 1987 he became editor-in-chief and later also managing director of "Eureka Television GmbH" / Munich, the first nationwide information and news broadcaster. a. with CNN , ESPN and Novosti . In 1988/89 he was editor-in-chief at " PRO 7 Television GmbH" / Munich. From 1989/1990 he acted as a consultant and project manager at AVE Gesellschaft für Medienbeteiligungen (Holtzbrinck publishing group) / Munich and produced the first broadcasts of “ Talk im Turm ” on Sat.1 . Since 1990 Hermanni has been a film and television producer, director and screenwriter and since 1995 managing partner and owner of "Euromedia Film- und Fernsehproduktion" in Baldham .

Scientific research and various teaching activities in the fields of “television teaching”, “media management”, “media policy” and “media economy” have accompanied Hermanni since 1983, including at the “Free University of Berlin” and at the “Mittweida University of Applied Sciences” "In Saxony and at the" Hochschule der Künste "Zurich. Since January 2014, Hermanni has been Professor of Media Development and Media Management at the SRH Fernhochschule - The Mobile University.
