Alfred Abendroth

Karl Andreas Alfred Abendroth , from Abendroth-Obentraut since 1927 , (* July 5, 1865 in Berlin ; † June 12, 1938 there ) was a German geodesist .

Life

He was the son of the master white tanner Friedrich August Georg Abendroth and passed his state examination in geodesy and cultural engineering in 1891 . He then worked in railway construction in Silesia , in urban expansion in Berlin-Schöneberg and in Hanover . In 1907 he was appointed to the General Staff . From 1917 to 1925 he worked in the Reich Ministry of the Interior . Then he was employed by the Ostlandsiedlung and the top construction management of the Reichsautobahn .

Since 1927 he called himself von Abendroth-Obentraut and in 1931 he presented the 36-page publication on his own family history, The Family of Abendroth-Obentraut , in which he traced his roots back to the noble family Obentraut from the Electoral Palatinate .
