Alfred Angerer

Alfred Angerer (* 1974 in Puebla , Mexico ) is an Austrian professor of health economics at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences , where he heads the Health Care Management department at the School of Management and Law in Winterthur , Switzerland .

Career

Angerer attended the Bodensee-Gymnasium in Lindau until 1995 and studied industrial engineering at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (until 2001) . In 2006 he received his doctorate from the University of St. Gallen on the subject of automatic ordering systems in retail.

After working at Nestlé Germany in supply chain management and as a management consultant for McKinsey & Company , he has been a lecturer at the ZHAW since 2009. His research projects deal with the topics of digital health and lean in healthcare . In his podcast “Healthcare Market Place” he interviews experts on the subject of business administration in the healthcare sector.
