Alfred Barthelmeß

Alfred Barthelmeß , also Barthelmess, (born July 14, 1910 in Kempten ; † November 3, 1987 ) was a German geneticist, botanist and nature conservation historian. He was a professor at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich .

Barthelmeß received his doctorate in Munich in 1934 and completed his habilitation there in 1940. From 1941 he worked as a private lecturer; In 1957 he became an adjunct professor. In 1973 he retired.
