Alfred Gläßer
Alfred Gläßer (born July 23, 1931 in Herrieden ) is a German Catholic theologian. He was a professor of fundamental theology at the Catholic University of Eichstätt .
Life
Alfred Gläßer 1957 in Eichstätt for ordained priests . After completing his doctorate in 1968 with Heinrich Fries in Munich , he initially worked for three years as a research assistant and lecturer in fundamental theology. From 1971 until his retirement in 1999 he was professor for fundamental theology at the Catholic University of Eichstätt. As an elected member he took part in the Würzburg Synod (1971 to 1975). From 1985 to 2002 he was chairman of the ecumenical commission of the Eichstätt diocese. Since 1994 he has been the clergyman advisor of the church newspaper for the Eichstätt diocese .
