Alfred Gmelin

Alfred Wilhelm Gmelin (born September 2, 1878 in Müllheim (Baden) , † February 3, 1965 in Coburg ) was a German bank manager.

Career

Gmelin was director of the Vereinsbank in Coburg . After the bank became financially unstable in mid-November 1929 due to irregularities, he managed to reorganize the bank and merge it into Coburg Bank .

He was honorary president of the Coburg Chamber of Commerce and Industry and made himself available as a commercial judge.
