Alfred Grünefeldt

Alfred Grünefeldt (born March 13, 1941 ) is a former German artistic gymnast .

Life

Alfred Grünefeldt was a gymnast at VfL Neckargartach , and from 1967 at SV Neckarsulm . He was Württemberg champion in the German decathlon in 1960 and 1965, German junior champion in floor exercise in 1962, in 1963 Württemberg champion on floor, horizontal bar and horse jump and in 1964, 1969, 1970 and 1973 champion in German decathlon at the federal level. In 1968 he narrowly missed qualifying for the Olympic Games in Mexico due to an injury .

In 1964 and 1969 Alfred Grünefeldt was Unterländer Sportsman of the Year . In the 1970s he worked as a sports teacher for the SV Neckarsulm team. Grünefeldt lives in Heilbronn .
