Alfred Lack

Alfred Lack (born July 7, 1924 ) is a former Swiss ice hockey player .

Career

Lack, who acted in the position of defender, was demonstrably on the ice for SC Bern from 1942 to 1960 . The defensive player won the Swiss championship with the Stadtberner Verein in 1959 under head coach Ernst Wenger . Lack himself had made a decisive contribution to Wenger starting a career in ice hockey.

Alfred Lack held the office of SCB captain for many years in the 1950s. The offensive defender and elegant skater also played for the Swiss national team when he was young, for which he played around 25 games. After a dispute with his former role model Richard Torriani , Lack resigned from being called to the national team forever.

In 1968, Alfred Lack was made an honorary member of SC Bern because of his exceptional services and loyalty to the club.
