Ernst Wenger
Ernst Wenger (born July 27, 1926 in Bern ) is a former Swiss ice hockey player and coach .
Career
Wenger, who acted in the position of defender, was demonstrably active for SC Bern from at least 1945 to 1956 . He then worked as the head coach of the city of Bern, with whom he won the Swiss championship in 1959 . Further stations in Switzerland were the Young Sprinters HC and EHC Biel . Wenger also served briefly as a coach for the Swiss national team .
Wenger worked as a police officer.
International
During the 1951/52 season Wenger was on the ice for Switzerland , but was never used in a major tournament.
