Alfred Karl Pracht (born March 10, 1946 in Svor , Czechoslovakia ) is a German educator , political scientist and politician ( LDPD , FDP ). From 1990 to 1994 he was a member of the Brandenburg state parliament for one legislative period .

Life and work

After attending the extended secondary school, Pracht worked from 1964 to 1968 as a teacher at the Pedagogical Institute in Leipzig . From 1970 to 1976 he worked as a teacher and boarding school director at an extended high school. From 1976 to 1981 he held a position as a graduate political scientist at the Academy for Political Science and Law (ASR) in Babelsberg . Today (2008) he works as a regional manager for securing skilled workers in Cottbus .

Alfred Pracht is divorced and has two children.

Pracht joined the LDPD in 1966 and was chairman of a basic unit of the party from 1969 to 1974. From 1974 to 1990 he was a member of the LDPD district council in Cottbus, and from 1986 to 1990 also deputy district chairman. In 1990 he became district manager of the LDP / FDP. In the state elections in 1990 he was elected to the Brandenburg state parliament, to which he was a member until 1994. Here he was a member of the Committee on Labor, Health, Social Affairs and Women, the Committee on Budgetary Control, the Committee on Legal Affairs and the Committee on Food, Agriculture and Forestry. In parliament he represented the constituency of Cottbus I.

Pracht has been chairman of the FDP district association Cottbus since 1998 and also chairman of the FDP city association Cottbus since 2003. He was also elected honorary chairman of the FDP Lausitz. He is also a city ​​councilor in Cottbus.
