Alfred Schüller

Alfred Schüller (born June 21, 1937 in Ahrweiler ) is a German economist .

Life

Alfred Schüller studied economics at the University of Bonn , where he received his doctorate in 1966 and qualified as a professor in 1972 . At first he was a professor at the University of Cologne ; from 1976 until his retirement on September 30, 2008, he taught at the Philipps University of Marburg .

Schüller is chairman of the Marburg Society for Order Issues in the Economy and co-editor of the magazine ORDO - Yearbook for Order in Economy and Society . a. Author of the multiple published work Basic Concepts for Order Theory and Political Economy . He is also a member of the Wilhelm Röpke Institute .

Since his student days, Schüller has been a member of the K.St.V. Arminia Bonn in KV .

Honors

Schüller has been awarded the Walter Eucken Medal and the Hayek Medal . On November 9, 2012, he was awarded the first Joseph Höffner Prize in Cologne .
