Alfred Schmiedel

Alfred Schmiedel (born February 18, 1930 in Bönen Kreis Unna; † July 18, 2002 ) was a German politician of the SPD .

education and profession

Alfred Schmiedel attended elementary and middle school. Then he completed an apprenticeship as a carpenter. From 1952 to 1958 he worked in the mining industry. From 1959 he worked as a union secretary. Schmiedel was a member of IG Bergbau und Energie from 1949.

politics

Alfred Schmiedel was a member of the SPD from 1951. In 1960 he became the first chairman of the local SPD association Altenbögge-Bönen. From March 1961 worked as a community representative and chairman of the SPD parliamentary group. From 1961 he acted as an official representative in Pelkum.

Alfred Schmiedel was from July 23, 1962 to July 23, 1966 directly elected member of the 5th state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia for the constituency 112 Unna-Nord.
