Alfred Schrader

Alfred Schrader (* 1924 in Erfurt ) is a German dramaturge and radio play author .

Act

Studied philology, then literary editor in Weimar. From 1958 to 1989 he was a full-time dramaturge for radio play in the GDR in the areas of children's radio play, radio play and feature. In addition, as a freelance author, he wrote manuscripts for his own radio plays and literature adaptations. One of his particular merits is the dramaturgical supervision and production of children's radio plays, which helped Heiner Müller over his income problems in the 1960s after the 1961 ban on his play The Resettled or Life in the Country .
