Alfred Seiler (born December 18, 1950 ) is a former German soccer player .

In the early 1970s, the defense specialist played together with Dieter Mietz , Gerhard Neuser and Erwin Maslowski in the second highest German division, the regional soccer league in 1972/73 and 1973/74 for Sportfreunde Siegen .

He then moved to FK Pirmasens , which in 1974 was one of the founding members of the 2nd Bundesliga . Pirmasens was runner-up in the southern group of the then two-part league, and Seiler played 34 of 38 possible games and scored 11 goals. In the following season he played 28 games for Pirmasens and scored 16 goals.

Before the 1976/77 season, Seiler moved to Kickers Offenbach . Here he scored 3 goals in 17 appearances before he briefly moved to the northern group of the league at Preußen Münster and also scored 4 goals in 17 games.

For the 1977/78 season he returned to the Offenbacher Kickers . For this club he played a total of 62 more games (17 goals) in the following two years.

Seiler's last year in the second division was in the 1979 season for SV Darmstadt 98 (36 games, 4 goals) before he switched back to Sportfreunde Siegen . Shortly afterwards he had to end his career due to a serious knee injury.

Today Alfred Seiler runs a restaurant in Neunkirchen (Siegerland) . He played a total of 194 second division games in which he scored 55 goals - and never saw a yellow card or was even sent off.
