The professional firefighter had previously kicked at STV Horst-Emscher . Maslowski made his debut in the Regionalliga West on July 30, 1972 with the 2-0 away win at SG Wattenscheid 09. He stormed right winger and center forward Gerhard Scholtyschik (24 goals) scored both goals against the Lohrheideteam around Hannes Bongartz . Eight days later, Siegen played their first home game in the Regionalliga in front of 24,000 spectators against Borussia Dortmund. The attacker, who mostly acted on the right wing, played his last regional league game on April 28, 1974 in a 2-2 home draw against DJK Gütersloh. A total of 53 games with three goals are noted for him from 1972 to 1974 in the Regionalliga West.

After Sportfreunde Siegen failed to qualify for the newly created 2nd Bundesliga in 1974, Erwin Maslowski moved to 1. FC Bocholt in the Niederrhein Association League . Coach Friedel Elting , who knew the striker from Horst Emscher times, gathered other former Gelsenkirchen players with Jan Roeloffzen and Günter Pangerl as well as Jürgen Tänzer , Wilfried Krause , Helmut Buhsfeld and Heinz Meiners in the following years. With the Schwatten vom Hünting Maslowski was Niederrheinmeister in the 1975/76 season , in which the right winger was involved with 13 goals of the season as the second-best scorer behind storm colleague Dancer (14 goals).
