Wilfried Krause

Wilfried Krause (born September 3, 1948 ) is a former German soccer player .

career

The midfielder was active for Eintracht Gelsenkirchen from 1967 to 1973 in the then second-rate Regionalliga West , where he made a total of 160 games in which he scored 43 goals. In 1973 he moved to the Regionalliga Süd for VfR Heilbronn , with whom he qualified in the last year of the old second-rate regional league, 1973/74 , as twelfth in the table for the newly created 2nd Bundesliga. In the 1974/75 season, Wilfried Krause tried on the side of Reinhold Fanz , Martin Kübler , Werner Haaga and Klaus Kubasik to maintain the VfR. This did not succeed when he reached 17th place, Krause played 23 games in the 2nd Bundesliga South and scored five goals. In 1976 his former Gelsenkirchen coach Friedel Elting brought him to the reigning Lower Rhine champion 1. FC Bocholt in the Lower Rhine Association League . With the club, Wilfried Krause rose in 1977 after the successful promotion round to the 2nd Bundesliga North; there he came in the 1977/78 season again to 20 games and two goals. After the direct relegation he failed with 1. FC Bocholt as runner-up in the Oberliga Nordrhein 1978/79 behind Rot-Weiß Oberhausen to return to the second division. In the 1979/80 season he was first A youth coach and then assistant coach of the club during the winter break and thus took part in winning the 1980 title.
