Alfred Sonders

Alfred Sonders (born March 20, 1964 in Würselen-Bardenberg) is the full-time mayor of the city of Alsdorf , Aachen region , in North Rhine-Westphalia .

Sonders grew up in a southern part of Alsdorf, namely the Broich settlement . He first attended secondary school . Through the secondary school he came to the higher commercial school . In 1982 he applied to the city council in his hometown. There he was hired as an administrative clerk and worked in many areas, e.g. B. from the social welfare office to the office for press and public relations and culture. The examination to become an administrative specialist took place in 1992.

In 1978 Alfred Sonders was the child prince of the Carnival Society (KG) Rote Funken Broicher settlement . For years he was chairman of the KG. He was also the managing director of Alsdorfer Freizeitobjekte GmbH (FOGA). He also volunteers as mayor in many associations. He is a member of the SPD and the ver.di union .

Alfred Sonders has been the full-time mayor of Alsdorf since October 21, 2009 and heads the administration. He was re-elected on May 25, 2014.

Sonders is married and has a daughter.
