Alfred Teschl

Alfred Teschl (born December 31, 1924 in Judenburg ) is a former Austrian politician ( SPÖ ) and union chairman. Teschl was a member of the National Council from 1970 to 1986 .

Teschl first attended elementary school and after completing his schooling he worked as a factory worker between 1938 and 1942. In 1954 he took over the duties of secretary in the chemical workers 'union, and in 1962 Teschl was promoted to central secretary of the chemical workers' union. Teschl reached the high point of his professional career when he took over the chairmanship of the chemical workers' union in 1973. In addition, Teschl represented the Social Democratic Party of Austria between March 31, 1970 and December 16, 1986 in the Austrian National Council.
