Alfredo Cecchi

Alfredo Cecchi (* 1875 in Florence ; † after 1920 ) was an Italian opera singer (tenor).

Cecchi studied singing in Milan with Elettra Callery Villani . He made his debut as a baritone in 1899, before moving to tenor as Radames in Verdi's Aida in 1901 . In addition to appearances at Italian opera houses, he has also made guest appearances in Saint Petersburg, Lisbon, London, Cairo, São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Mexico and Constantinople. The focus of his repertoire was on the tenor roles from Verdi's operas. Several recordings with him from the 1900s have been preserved. His last recorded stage appearance took place in 1920, after which he lived as a singing teacher in Milan. His students included Alfred Orda , Alessandro Granda and Alessandro Ziliani . The date and place of death are not known.
