Alfredo Costa (soccer player)
Alfredo Costa (born before 1944) is a former Argentine football player who mainly played in defense or in defensive midfield . With León FC , he won the Mexican football championship three times in the late 1940s and early 1950s .
career
Costa was signed by León FC in 1944 after they had been accepted into the Mexican professional league introduced a year earlier . Costa played until the 1952/53 season with the Esmeraldas , for which the attacking defensive player scored a total of 20 goals in the league games in nine seasons. In addition to the championship titles already mentioned, Costa also won the Mexican Supercup twice and the cup competition once .
