Alfredo Leonardi

Alfredo Leonardi (* 1938 in Voghera ) is an Italian director.

Life

Leonardi graduated in literary studies; then he worked as Ugo Gregoretti's assistant on his episode of RoGoPaG . The following years were marked by theater commissions at the Italian Living Theater , between 1964 and 1966 numerous works as a short and experimental film director and until 1971 by medium-length films that continued to experiment.

In 1966 he made his only feature film, which he also wrote and edited, Amore, amore , which premiered at the 1967 Pesaro Film Festival . From the 1970s Leonardi worked for television and made industrial films . After all, he was responsible for educational films until 1994.

Leonardi is considered one of the most important underground filmmakers of his time.
