Algimantas Kaminskas
Algimantas Kaminskas (pseudonym Krinčius ; born August 5, 1957 in Kaunas ) is a Lithuanian chess player.
Life
After graduating from middle school Kaminskas completed in 1979, the diploma in education at Valstybinis pedagoginis institutas in Vilnius . From 1979 to 2008 he worked as a teacher and headed the Antanas Vienažindys secondary school Krinčinas as director in the Rajongemeinde Pasvalys . From 2001 he was a historical journalist, translator and author of books on history.
From 1972 to 1976 his coach was Jonas Žiniauskas. 1987 Kaminskas was Lithuanian individual champion in correspondence chess , 1989 runner-up and in 1992 took 3rd place in the Lithuanian individual championship in correspondence chess . In 1990 he was appointed national master and in 1998 international correspondence chess master.
