Algimantas Nasvytis
Algimantas Nasvytis (born April 8, 1928 in Kaunas ; † July 27, 2018 ) was a Lithuanian architect and politician .
Life
From 1946 Nasvytis studied architecture at the Vilniaus valstybinis dailės institutas . He worked as an architect from 1952; from 1957 at a republic restoration workshop, from 1960 as chief architect at the institute for urban planning. From 1990 to 1992 he was the Lithuanian Minister of Construction and Urbanism . From 1993 he worked at UAB "Jungtinės architektų dirbtuvės" and from 1978 he taught at VISI ( Vilniaus Gedimino technikos universitetas ), from 1993 as a professor at the Department of Urban Studies .
From 1993 to 1996 he headed the architects' association.
