Algimantas Rimkūnas

Algimantas Rimkūnas (born January 4, 1953 in Kaunas ) is a Lithuanian diplomat and politician, Vice Minister .

Life

From 1970 to 1975 he completed his diploma in business mathematics at the Vilniaus universitetas (VU) and did his doctorate at the chair for business cybernetics at VU. In 1981 he received his doctorate. From 1975 to 1992 he taught at the VU and was vice dean of the business faculty. From 1990 he worked at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania . From 1996 to 2000 he was Vice Minister and from 2007 to 2012 Ambassador to Portugal . Since March 2013 he has been Deputy Minister of Finance of Lithuania , Deputy of Rimantas Šadžius in the Butkevičius cabinet .
