Ali Ahraoui (born February 15, 1979 in Wiesbaden ) is a former German boxer of Moroccan descent.

Career

He belonged to the 1st ABV Kohlheck (Wiesbaden) and boxed in the 1st Bundesliga for CSC Frankfurt and for BC Velbert.

He was German light welterweight champion in 1997 and 2000, won the silver medal in the lightweight at the 1997 European Junior Championships in Birmingham , and the bronze medal in the light welterweight at the 1999 World Championships in Houston ; he was only eliminated in the semifinals against Willy Blain .

He also made appearances at the 1998 European Championships in Minsk , the 2001 World Championships in Belfast and the 2002 European Championships in Perm . He was unable to participate in the 2000 Summer Olympics due to an injury with subsequent surgery.

He is also the winner of the German Brandenburg Cup 1997, bronze medalist of the Mayors Cup in 1998 in the Philippines and of the Chemistry Cup in 2001 in Germany, as well as silver medalist of the Golden Belt tournament in 2002 in Romania.

From 2004 to 2011 he played 16 professional fights in Germany, Austria and the Netherlands, of which he won 13. He was under contract with Spotlight Boxing . After his boxing career, he worked as a fitness trainer and in the security industry.

In 2015 he opened his own boxing studio in Wiesbaden.
