Ali Manaj

Ali Manaj (born November 7, 1937 in Damës , Tepelena County ) is a former Albanian politician of the Labor Party of Albania (PPSh) and writer .

biography

After attending school in Tirana , he began to study philosophy in 1958 and, after completing his studies, rose to the position of Scientific Director of the Institute for Petroleum and Natural Gas . At times he was also a member of the board of the professional association ( Bashkimeve Profesionale ).

He began his political career as a delegate at the 5th party congress of the PPSh in 1966 and as a member of the Presidium of the PPSh in the Berat district , before he was secretary and finally first secretary of the PPSh in the Berat district from 1969 to 1976.

In 1974 he was elected for the first time as a member of the People's Assembly ( Kuvendi Popullor ) and belonged to it from the eighth to the end of the ninth electoral term in 1982.

During this time, from February 11, 1976 to December 25, 1978, he was not only President of the People's Assembly , but from 1976 to 1978 also First Secretary of the PPSh in Gjirokastra County .

He later worked as a writer and published the books Në rrjedhat e kohës ... Kujtime e mbresa të pashlyera në vite (2005) and Lumturia kur bëhesh gjysh (2005).
