Alice Ferney , actually Cécile Brossollet (born November 21, 1961 in Paris ) is a French writer .

life and career

Ferney studied between 1981 and 1984 at the École supérieure des sciences économiques et commerciales (ESSEC) and then moved to the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (EHESS) to do a doctorate . After successfully completing her degree, she was appointed Maître de conférences at the University of Orléans . Her work and research focuses on gender studies ( femininity , homosexuality , motherhood ). Ferney also got involved in the controversial same-sex marriage . Together with over fifty women, she published a statement in the form of an open letter .
