Alina Aleksandrowicz-Ulrich

Alina Aleksandrowicz-Ulrich (born April 13, 1931 in Boruny near Vilnius ) is a Polish literary historian who mainly deals with the literature of the Enlightenment and folk poetry in her academic work.

Life

Aleksandrowicz-Ulrich spent the Second World War in the Vilnius Region ( Wileńszczyzna ). After the war she lived in Drawsko Pomorskie and attended high school there . After graduating from high school, she studied Polish language and literature at the Catholic University of Lublin in 1950 and from 1952 at the University of Warsaw , where she obtained her master's degree in 1955 . She then worked as an assistant at the chair for the history of literature at Marie Curie Skłodowska University . The PZPR she joined the 1956th With the work of Adam Naruszewicz jako satyryk. From 1969 to 1978 she held the office of vice dean at the humanistic faculty there. In 1974 she also took over the management of the Department of History of Literature. With the thesis Nieznana twórczość Marii Wirtemberskiej she completed her habilitation in 1975 and became an associate professor in 1980 and a full professor in 1992. From 1983 to 2001 she was also the scientific editor of the philological section of the UMCS Annales . Aleksandrowicz-Ulrich retired in 2001.
