Aline Batailler

Aline Batailler (born October 26, 1965 ) is a French judoka . In 1989 she was third in the light heavyweight championship, the weight class up to 72 kilograms.

Athletic career

Aline Batailler took top places in the French championships from 1984, and in 1987 she won her only championship title. In 1988 she won the Tournoi de Paris . At the French championships in 1988 she was defeated in the final Laetitia Meignan as well as a year later. At the European Championships in Helsinki she lost to the Belgian Ingrid Berghmans in the semi-finals , but won the battle for bronze against the Spanish Isabel Cortavitarte . Two months after the European Championships, Batailler won the Francophonie Games in Casablanca. Two and a half months later, the 1989 World Championships took place in Belgrade . Here she lost in the semi-finals to the Japanese Yōko Tanabe , in the battle for bronze she defeated the Spanish Cortavitarte as at the European Championships. After finishing fifth at the Fukuoka Cup in 1990 , Batailler reached the final at the Tournoi de Paris again in 1991. This time she was defeated by the Italian Emanuela Pierantozzi . At the end of 1991 she was third again at the Fukuoka Cup.
