Tournoi de Paris
The Tournoi de Paris was a judo tournament in Paris. It was held for the first time in 1971, with Henri Courtine , the technical director of the French Judo Federation at the time, being involved in an international judo tournament in France. Until 2001, the Tournoi de Paris was a World Cup tournament. From 2002 to 2004 it was run as a Super A tournament and from 2005 to 2008 it was run as a Super World Cup tournament. It has been held as a Grand Slam tournament since 2009 . The Tournoi de Paris was held from 1971 to 1989 and from 1991 to 1999 in the Stade Pierre de Coubertin , during a renovation the tournament had to move to the Halle Georges-Carpentier in 1990 .
