Tong Wen ( Chinese 佟 文 , Pinyin Tóng Wén ; born February 1, 1983 in Tianjin ) is a Chinese heavyweight judoka and five-time world champion and Olympic champion at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing .
She won her first gold medals at international appearances in 2002 at the Asian Games in Busan, South Korea and the following year at the 2003 World Judo Championships in Osaka , after winning the 2000 Asian Judo Championships in Osaka. At the Summer Olympics in Beijing she defeated the Japanese Maki Tsukuda in the final on August 15, 2008 .
In May 2010 she was banned from the International Judo Federation for proven doping with Clenbuterol for two years. The gold medal she had won at the 2009 Judo World Championships in Rotterdam was revoked. In February 2011, the International Court of Justice lifted the ban because she was not given the opportunity to be present at the opening of the B sample.
In 2012 she was back at the Olympics, but lost to the Cuban Idalys Ortíz , who she had defeated four years earlier, and got bronze.
