Jean-Pierre Hansen (Judoka)

Jean-Pierre Hansen (born December 3, 1957 ) is a former French judoka who was European champion in 1987.

Jean-Pierre Hansen fought in the half-light weight, the weight class up to 65 kilograms. In 1977 he finished third in the Tournoi de Paris behind the Japanese Kiyosuke Sahara and his compatriot Guy Delvingt . In 1980 Hansen won his first French championship. In 1982 he was again third at the Tournoi de Paris, this time behind his compatriots Guy Delvingt and Thierry Rey . In 1984 he was second at the Tournoi de Paris behind the Japanese Yosuke Yamamoto . At the French championships in 1984, he finished second behind Marc Alexandre . From 1985 to 1987 Hansen won the Tournoi de Paris three times in a row. In 1986 he also won the French championships. At the European Championships in Paris in 1987 , he defeated the Hungarian Tamás Bujkó in the semifinals and the Yugoslav Dragomir Bečanović in the final . After a third place at the Mediterranean Games , Hansen reached seventh place at the 1987 World Championships in Essen.
