Christian Dyot

Christian Dyot (born February 24, 1959 ) is a former French judoka . He was fifth in the 1980 Olympics.

Athletic career

The 1.70 m tall Christian Dyot fought in the lightweight, the weight class up to 71 kilograms. In 1977 he won a bronze medal at the European Junior Championships. In 1979 he won his first French championship. At the Mediterranean Games in 1979 he won a bronze medal. At the World Championships in Paris in 1979 he was defeated in the quarterfinals by the Italian Ezio Gamba . After beating Rómulo Alvarez from Venezuela in the Hope Round, Dyot lost the battle for bronze to Briton Neil Adams . At the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow, he lost in his second fight Ezio Gamba. With two wins in the round of hope, Dyot reached the battle for bronze, which he lost to the Mongolian Rawdangiin Dawaadalai .

In 1982 Dyot won the French championship again. At the European Championships in 1982 Dyot reached the battle for bronze, which he lost to Stanislav Tůma from Czechoslovakia. In 1984 Christian Dyot won the Tournoi de Paris , at the French championships he was defeated in the final by his brother Serge Dyot , who then also competed for France at the Olympic Games in Los Angeles .
