Rawdangiin Dawaadalai

Rawdangiin Dawaadalai ( Mongolian Равдангийн Даваадалай ; born March 20, 1954 in Darwi-Sum, Chowd-Aimag ) is a former Mongolian judoka .

The 1.71 m tall Rawdangiin Dawaadalai competed in the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow in the lightweight (up to 71 kilograms). He first defeated Abdoulaye Diallo from Guinea by Ippon, then Tamaz Namgalauri from the Soviet Union by a coca classification and in the quarter-finals the Cuban Ricardo Tuero by Ippon. In the semifinals, the Mongol lost to the Italian Ezio Gamba by Ippon after 3:11 minutes. In the battle for the bronze medal, Rawdangiin Dawaadalai defeated the French Christian Dyot with a coca rating.

At the World Championships in 1981 , the Mongol started in the light middleweight division, the weight class up to 78 kilograms. He was defeated in his second fight by the Briton Neil Adams , but then fought his way through the hope round to the fight for the bronze medal, which he lost to the Canadian Kevin Doherty . Rawdangiin Dawaadalai took fifth place.
