Ilias Iliadis ( Greek Ηλίας Ηλιάδης , born November 10, 1986 in Akhmeta , Georgian SSR ) is a Greek judoka from Georgia, who was originally called Jardschi Swiadauri .

His greatest success was winning the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens at the age of 17 in the weight class up to 81 kilograms. He had already won the European title in this weight class in the run-up to the Games.

From 2005 Iliadis competed in the 90-kilogram category. At the Judo World Championships in 2005 and 2007, he won the silver medal in this weight class. In the 2010 World Judo Championships , he won and defended his title in 2011 in Paris .

Iliadis won the bronze medal at the 2012 Olympic Games in London. In 2013 he secured the bronze medal at the World Championships in Rio de Janeiro .

At the 2014 World Championships in Russia , Iliadis was able to win the gold medal again after beating the Hungarian Krisztián Tóth in the final.

From 2008 to 2016 he fought for the TSV Abensberg team . He contributed to making the Lower Bavarian club the German record champion and 7-time European Cup winner.

Iliadis has been the head coach of the Uzbek national judo team since November 2019 .
