Christl Zimmerl
Christl Zimmerl (* 27. February 1939 in Vienna , † 19th March 1976 ibid) was an Austrian Ballet - dancer .
Life
The doctor's daughter attended the primary school of the school nurses in Erdbergstrasse and then the federal high school in Rahlgasse up to the Matura . From the age of four until 1951, she received ballet lessons from Willy Fränzl .
In October 1948 he was accepted into the children's ballet school of the Vienna State Opera . On September 1, 1953, she received her contract as a corporal dancer for the State Opera Ballet. At that time he worked in the Theater an der Wien and in the Volksoper .
On March 1, 1957, Christl Zimmerl became a solo dancer at the Vienna State Opera and on September 1, 1965, first solo dancer . She created role creations in the ballets Mohr von Venice (1955) and Medusa (1957), each by Erika Hanka and in Deserts (1965) and Orpheus loses Eurydike (1966), each by Aurel von Milloss .
On June 26, 1965, she married the music and ballet critic and later ballet director Gerhard Brunner . She became the mother of two children. In October 1969 she received the Silver Cross of Honor for Services to the Republic of Austria .
In 1992 the Zimmerlweg in Vienna- Döbling (19th district) was named after her.
