Takako Kobayashi

Takako Kobayashi ( Japanese 小 林貴子 Kobayashi, Takako ; born April 2, 1968 in Kyoto Prefecture ) is a former Japanese judoka . She was third in the 1989 World Cup.

Athletic career

Takako Kobayashi fought in the light middleweight division, the weight class up to 61 kilograms. From 1989 to 1992 she won the Japanese championships four times in a row.

In 1987 she defeated her compatriot Noriko Mochida in the final of the Fukuoka Cup . At the 1989 World Championships she lost to the German Gabriele Ritschel in the round of 16 . With three wins in the round of hope she reached the battle for a bronze medal, which she won against Gordana Tosinović from Yugoslavia. At the end of 1989 she won the Fukuoka Cup for the second time, as she defeated Noriko Mochida in the final two years earlier.
