Mr.Kitty (Infest 2014)

Forrest Avery Carney , better known as Mr.Kitty or Echo Strobe, is a dark synthwave / synthpop / new wave / witch house / dark wave producer , singer and DJ from Austin , Texas . His style is to underline dark texts with synthesizer elements and thus arouse a nostalgic mood in the listener.

Carney has made remixes for IAMX and Aesthetic Perfection , among others , and produced songs with Pastel Ghost and Crystal Castles .

Career

In 2008 he began releasing RMX , the first in a series of mini-albums remixed by various artists. The following year he released RMX II . In 2010 he released his first standalone LP Until Death Do Us Part , an album that included a first version of Everything Will Be Okay , a song that would be remixed and edited in the future. In the same year he released RMX III . In 2011 he released RMX IV and DE Δ TH , his second studio album, which included the songs †† and Resurrection . This was the first album to feature the face of a cat on the cover, an element that would repeat itself on his next three studio recordings. In 2012 Mr. Kitty released 3 albums: RMX V, RMX VI (last album in the RMX saga) and his third studio album and the first under a record label (Keep It Dark Records), Eternity , which included the song Destroy Me , one of his first hits , included.

From 2012 Mr. Kitty began to develop into an increasingly bigger artist and worked with remixes on various songs and studio albums. In 2013, Life , his fourth studio album, was released under the Engraved Ritual label with the song Insects . In 2014 he achieved underground success with Time , under the label Juggernaut Music Group and especially with the songs After Dark and XIII . In 2015 Fragments was released under the Negative Gain Productions label. The following year he appeared as a remixer for North Star (Mr. Kitty Remix) for the album Everything Is Burning (Metanoia Addendum) by IAMX and LAX (Mr. Kitty Remix) for Aesthetic Perfection and also released a mini-album compilation with 4 Songs that contain a remix of Everything Will Be Okay . In 2017 Mr. Kitty brought out AI under the label Negative Gain Productions.

In the course of 2018, Mr. Kitty will focus on various collaborations and will release new material in 2019 with the album Ephemeral , which he will release independently.

To this day Carney has been producing in his apartment on a computer that he has been using since he was 18.

His album Ephemeral was created through the death of a friend, because for him it is "the only way to express feelings."

Song lyrics

Most of Carney's songs deal with sad subjects such as loss , depression and death . He mostly relies on cross rhymes or starting rhymes .
